2025 Vintage: Done and Dusted 🍇
2025 Vintage: Done and Dusted 🍇
The grapes have been picked, the fermenters are humming, and harvesters are back in the shed. Just like that, another vintage is in the books.
A Season of Extremes 🌦️
This year was the opposite of 2024—which was wet and late. We've just come through one of the driest seasons on record with no proper rain since September. A warm, dry winter brought the earliest start to vintage we can remember.
With empty dams, we had to make the tough call to truck in water—an expensive move, but critical to protecting vine health and ensuring our signature fruit quality.
The Harvest Rundown 🍷
Despite the dry, the vineyard pulled through beautifully:
- Shiraz: Yields were above average, with exceptional colour and concentration.
- Grenache: Down ~40%, but fruit quality was outstanding.
- Heatwaves: None! Just a few short spikes.
- Something new: Our first-ever crop of Fiano is in – can’t wait to share it with you later this year.
